Montrail - Stratos XCR (Slate/Rusted Orange) - Men's: The Stratos XCR is the perfect blending of hiking boot protection and support with ultralight technology and comfort. The Stratos changes the old paradigm and redefines what it means to be a hiking boot. Gone are the days of sacrificing comfort, cushioning, and light weight in order to get the support, stability, and protection of traditional leather boots. The Stratos is built for extended backpacking in all conditions and through all kinds of terrain, but it is also ideal for light hiking or walking. IntegraFit last design is Montrail s solution to providing a good fit through design. High Traction Outsoles are designed for optimal traction in a wide variety of conditions from slick mud and wet polished rocks, to dry dusty dirt. The hardened thermoplastic sheets (counters) are molded to cap the toe-box and provide light-weight impact toe protection. EXO construction places the waterproof/breathable layer on the outside of the shoe keeping the whole shoe dry. Airmesh inner bootie creates a contoured sock-like fit. Weight: 17 oz. (size 10).
